How EOS Benefit is Calculated:

  • First 5 years: Half monthly salary for each year of service.
  • After 5 years: Full monthly salary for each year.
  • For resignation: 2-5 years = one-third of benefit. 5-10 years = two-thirds. Over 10 years = full benefit.
  • Contract end, retirement, closure, disability, death, etc.: Full benefit.
  • Disciplinary termination or probation: No benefit.

Illustrative Examples

Examples of EOS benefit calculations in different scenarios:

Example 1: Salary 10,000 SAR - 4 years - Resignation
Calculation: (10,000 × 4 × 0.5) ÷ 3 = 6,667 SAR
Example 2: Salary 8,000 SAR - 8 years - Employer Termination
Calculation: (8,000 × 5 × 0.5) + (8,000 × 3) = 44,000 SAR
Example 3: Salary 18,000 SAR - 15 years - Resignation (over 10 years)
Calculation: (18,000 × 5 × 0.5) + (18,000 × 10) = 225,000 SAR (full)
