Saudi Labor Law provides special protection for female employees, granting additional rights in cases related to marriage and maternity. This article details these rights.

Termination Due to Marriage (Article 87)

Article 87 grants female employees the right to terminate their contract within 6 months of marriage and receive full EOS benefit, even if they have served less than 2 years.

Termination Due to Maternity (Article 87)

Female employees may terminate their contract within 6 months of childbirth with full EOS benefit entitlement.

Maternity Leave

Female employees are entitled to 10 weeks (70 days) of paid maternity leave. This leave counts toward service duration for EOS calculation.

Protection Against Dismissal

It is unlawful for employers to terminate female employees during pregnancy, maternity leave, or illness resulting from pregnancy or childbirth.
